University life is totally different and exciting. Just enjoy your university life and do not forget assignments and advices received in and out of classrooms whilst preparing yourself for the future working industry. It might look like a honeymoon time but this is the time to struggle hard so you would come out as the best especially with UiTM where everything doesn't come as easy.
Not difficult at all. Student's Admission plays a good role in contacting students who gained a place in campuses. Future students will be contacted through email mostly as UiTM nowadays going green in communication. I didn't need to obtain a visa; however, I do know that students interested to study in the country will have no hard time in applying for one due to the government’s policy. For smoother admission process students may want to frequently check their status with Student Admission department as per contact numbers on UiTM's website.
It is not easy at all to get a scholarship. The university does not give scholarship anymore. However, there are a lot of institutions giving out study loans provided you'll be able to pay it back within 6 months after graduation. Application forms are available at the faculties' offices or at the Student Admission department counter. Fees are not exactly cheap or expensive. You'll likely be able to manage your financial through working part-time, tutor and helping with assignments or selling second-hand goods.
The course is superb. The fabulous bits are the activities and presentations of it. We are enjoying our time discovering the industry in a way or approach like no other students have as our class is a mixture of those who are from the industry and also fresh graduates. Lecturers are very supportive and encourage us to think outside the box. Support in terms of reference materials are in fabulous condition. This course is definitely value for money.
Facilities are ok. Pretty much all the basic necessities of a student are provided. I enjoy the neighborhood very much as it is friendly and safe. The townhouses hold mostly families and students. The area is also close to the city center and other places of attraction or recreation. Local authority does have alternatives for public transport and is in good condition. Part-time work is available as there are a lot of commercial areas and they are thriving. As a president of a club, I should say we're active with loads of activities lined up throughout the year. For international students, they pretty much have their own preference of mixing around and preferred activities too. They do join us from time to time though.
Job scope has now increased at least 50% compare to last year. Our alumni will be with the university as well as CILT (M) or CILT (UK) or CILT (Ireland). All CILT graduates will have to be member of any of these societies as to get in touch with latest developments as well as to further discuss the development of transport. I am yet to complete my studies, but already am looking forward to serve one of the biggest companies in Malaysia serving the public transport of the country.
