Well I think I picked the wrong subject but the university’s really great. Commerce isn’t my thing. I’d have to tell people to be really sure before they apply for a four year long course. But UWA has loads of great services and fun events.
I just had to fill out the forms with all my personal details and school results. It wasn’t too hard to get in actually. There were no interviews or anything but they do check your references. Just don’t miss the deadline for your enrolment or you’ll have to pay late fees and it gets a bit stressful. They take a while to fill out by the time you gather all the info they require. My tip would be to give yourself plenty of time.
I don’t know really. I think you can get scholarships if you went to the student services department and had really great academic history. I think you’d have to find out months before your course started to get that organized.
The course was brilliant. Very relevant to the real world and useful in my career. I enjoyed behavioural studies. I studies about 30 hours a week I think. The staff at the uni and very supportive in many ways. The course is pretty good value for money. I think the government subsidize it or something.
The facilities are very modern and clean. There are lots of parks nearby to have lunch or meet friends. The other students are very friendly. I haven't worked during my studies but the student union is good and offer lots of services. I haven’t really had time to join clubs. The local area is nice on the river. I heard the accommodation is really cheap but pretty small.
To be honest, I’m not sure what I’ll do after this course. It’s pretty vague. So I don’t really know if it’s helped my job prospects. I probably won’t bother with the alumni because I keep in touch with my uni friends anyway.
