I received scholarships from Ausaid, and upon the advice from my friends, I chose to study at UQ. It was a great experience for me. I loved every moment of that.
I was working for a non-governmental organization run by Ausaid, and I heard that there are some scholarships reserved for some people like us. I applied and I was successful. It was a great time for me. I did not have any problems to have a stress-free application and enrolment process. You just need to follow the instructions and you will be successful.
The scholarships offered by Ausaid was very good. I received tuition fee and living expenses. I find them in the notice board in my workplace, which is a NGO run by Ausaid.
The course was good. Some colleagues of mine also chose the same course as me. I think English was not my problem, so I understood the lessons really well, and I felt that I made the right decision to choose to study here. The lecturers and tutors are very nice.
Brisbane is a very quiet city, just like my hometown. It has a tropical climate, so I adapt to the weather nicely. But as Australia is on the southern atmosphere, it has opposite seasons to the norhern atmosphere. It can be a little bit disturbing when you first come to Australia. It was easy to find part time job. I worked in a local restaurant. The Student Union was good. I attended almost all clubs and societies.
I was promoted to a higher position when I finished my studies and came back. I still keep in touch with other friends. I join the alumni clubs.
