The course was very theoretical and not much practical/real world information. However, the course is good for developing concept skills and overall coverage of the industry as a whole.
I took one year break after my HSC (schooling) and my TER scores were not up to the required levels when I applied. But I filled and submitted an application form and was accepted anyway.
I borrowed the money to pay up front fees and received the up front payment discount.
The course is quite hard work about 35 contact hours per week plus you are expected to do 30 at home. I found most tutors pretty unhelpful, although some were fantastic.
UNSW is a good campus (kensington). You can involve yourself in Unilife if you want - or not! It can be very hard to get jobs depending on the market.
I have been working as an Interior Designer for past 8 years. But now I am looking to change my career because of instability in this industry and I thing I would enjoy something else.
