The University of Sydney is the oldest Uni in Australia. It has the reputation of a well-known and prestigious Uni. I really like the architecture of this Uni. The most important piece of advice I could give to you is that Sydney Uni is a very big Uni, and you need to spend a lot of time on exploring your Uni. I find there are many interesting features of the Uni, and I believe that the Uni is the best Uni in terms of humanity.
The selection process is very easy. I studied for my Master here as well, so I did not have any problems dealing with the paperwork. I just dealt directly with the Uni admin staff.
I received the Ausaid Scholarship, which pays for my tuition and living allowance. I found the scholarship on the local newspaper. Securing financial asssistance is something that you need to be thinking of when you study overseas, because there are lots of other problems you might encounter.
I am doing my PhD in Education, so I need to do a lot of literature review and reasearch work. The supervisors are very kind to me. I receieved all kind of support that I needed.
The Unversity experience was great for me. I enjoy the local food and the fellow students so much. Accommodation was very expensive for me. But the course is very value for money. It has been easy to find part time work. The Student Union was active, but I dont think I am still young to participate in such activities. I did not join any clubs or societies.
My job prospects will increase thanks to my study overseas at Uni of Sydney. I will be keeping in touch with other friends at Uni. I am still studying at the moment.
