NYP – the lecturers are friendly, approachable and if you have any problems, they don’t hesitate to reply you back through email. One of the things that appeal to me about the college is well equipped PC. There is no shortage of PC, there are too many at students disposal. There is WIFI too. Apart from that, we also have E-LEARNING where a student can log in online and learn. My message to any student thinking of coming here are ”welcome with open hands’.
The usual entry is through ”O“ level, but in my case, my ”O“ level results were not good. So, it was through JPSAE that I got entry into my course, I used my CCA points to get in.
Present case, I don’t get any scholarship for my studies.
I am studying diploma in engineering informatics. The course is a hybrid course including software, hardware and business. The classes are held throughout the week – Monday – Friday. This course is also collaborated with networking giant CISCO.
We have two computer labs. One lab has computers running mac os and the other Microsoft windows used for programming etc. I am not working currently but work is easy to get. At the moment, I would like to focus more on my studies. I have not joined any clubs in my college. However, the place is quite multicultural like students from Malaysia, India, Bangladesh etc – huge diversity.
Right after I finish my course, I will enter the army as it is mandatory for Singapore citizens. After that, I will come out and look for a job. I believe there is an alumni association and I will join it.
