ratingSelection process and gaining admission

I did not have to write any exams as part of my admission process. a student visa. The visa process was Good, satisfactory, did not take long to get and there was no interview. it was easy to get tickets to London. I flew Emirates. The airlines was good, though they did not offer any student fare. I landed in London Heathrow. The airport is 1 hour from LSE. I was allowed 1 piece of 20kgs and one hand luggage. I did not face any immigration issues, just needed a chest x-ray before hand from Del. LSE did not offer a Meet and Greet, however there was an orientation week for all new students at the university.

I did not apply for any scholarships, so not sure about them.

The course content and staff was great Some room for improvement with non British teachers as language might have been a problem, rest was all good. The facilities offered at the university are Great!! LSE has the largest social sciences library in the world it is an institution in itself with state of the art technology in searching for books, journals etc.

I stayed in private apartment in London. Lots of Blue collar jobs available on campus (part time), its quite easy to land one. AMAZING nightlife/social scene here. The weather is Bad, loads of rain, snow in winter, rare sun. The International societies offer Social, cultural, economic, etc events – all kinds of societies.

ratingJob prospects

We had a full fledged careers department. As long as you have good academic and extra curricular record and you do well on your interview, the international students do get jobs. Most big MNCs attend careers fairs held by universities for potential recruitments. Not sure about work permit as I never reached that stage. There is a strong alumni society, its very active, regular blogging, newsletters, alumni services, counseling etc.
