Based on my experience and the experiences of alumni and fellow students, and without considering the rankings published by many rating institutions, Cornell is one of the best univeristy's in the world. The resources available are tremendous, the people are diverse and the subjects of study are varied. Cornell is the only trans-national university with a medical school in Doha, Qatar, a hotel school program in Singapore and an exchange program with the Chinese University of Hong Kong. On campus, you can expect a very picturesque landscape on a hill alongside the city of Ithaca. While the city is not very large, it is juxtaposed very well with the calm and serene campus life. Cornell, like many other private institutions is expensive; however, on campus costs are smaller. Opting to cook at home, walk to class and live modestly can provide significant savings while studying. Most prior students I speak to become raving fans of its education and their experience once they graduate (if not during their studies). It is hard to find a reason why Cornell would not be the best decision of your life!
