I am doing an undergraduate degree at Curtin University of Technology, just started out my first semester at Curtin. I think it is a really good uni, very organized and attentive to students' needs. My advice is that there are a lot of Asian groceries here, so there's no need to bring in food from home as the customs are pretty strict.
My brother helped me out with the application process as he used to study at Curtin University of Technology as well. I think its easy - I just prepared and send the required documents and mailed them to the university. Once the offer letter is received, proceed to apply student visa and health check.
I am not really sure about the scholarship opportunities. My parents paid m tuition fees.
I just did my first semester in year 1 units, I am currently thinking of switching to another course from commerce to arts. It is quite easy to do. I'm still in the midst of exploring what I really want to study, trying out different disciplines. Hopefully, I can settle into something I really enjoy. I'm glad Curtin has this flexibility to allow students to make changes easily and lecturers are interesting too, I enjoy all the lectures.
I have only been here for 1 semester, there's still a lot more places I have yet to explore, many things which I haven't done yet. I'm staying with my brother and I don't have to pay rent so I can't say if the accommodation is value for money. I am currently looking for a part-time job and I don't think it is that easy to find one. I did not join any club.
I think job prospects will increase, with a degree, it is easier to get a job.
