My tips to students: Don't isolate yourself on campus, get into Aberdeen. It's strangely rewarding and the music scene is great. Also stay away from gambling...you can't afford it.

I chose the University of Aberdeen because I wanted to leave the American school system and the University allowed for a little more flexibility when it came to finally choosing my degree. Also, it's a pretty good story to tell...coming to Scotland to study and all. The nightlife in Aberdeen is cheap and sinful - but only if you want it to be! I love Scotland. The weather is a great unifier! The three words I would use to describe the University of Aberdeen are 'Older than America.'
