UQ is one of the best places to study Food science in Australia. I was offered an Ausaid scholarship and I had the chance to choose where I would like to study. UQ was recommended to me by my lecturers in Uni.
I studied English very hard, so that I could recieve the full scholarship. I was successful, and I believe that this is a very golden chance for me. Just prepare enough documents, so you can get your visa approved.
The Scholarship is very good with tuition and living allowance. I found this scholarship on the website of Ausaid.
The course is very practical. I did lab work all the time. I spent about 35 hours to study each week. The lecturers and tutors are very friendly. I recieved all kinds of support that I needed.
Brisbane is very new and modern. The living expense is very low, so you can save a lot of money. Acccommodation is very cheap compared to Sydney and Melbourne. It has been very easy to find part time work. I was working in a local Vietnamese restaurant. The Student Union is very active. I did not have time to participate in clubs or societies.
My job prospects will definitely increase a lot as a result of my studies. I wlll be keeping in touch with fellow alumni. I am working as a lecturer in a local university.
