University experience is the best. It is always a privilege to be a student. I worked for a year before going to uni and being a student is lucky, don't have so much responsibilities other than studying. My advice will be if you have a chance to study, just do it and the longer you drag, the less likely you will want to go back to school.
For me, I did not go to uni straight after college. I worked for a year and deferred for awhile but the good thing is, I did not have to sit for any special bridging course or tests, so I reckon it is easy to get in. I did my application online.
No, I have no funding opportunities, I got an education loan.
Its really good to be studying again. I have fun to be doing Forensics Investigation. The best bits will be the practical work, it feels like CIA. If you want a career in criminology, science, law, this course is suitable for you. Lecturers and tutors are able to deliver the units very clear and precise and students are most welcome to ask questions.
Locals and fellow students are very friendly. The main facilities that I used in ECU are the library, bookshop, food places, computer labs. It depends on what kind of part-time jobs you want, if it is fast food, it is very easy to find. I did not join any club.
My course in Forensics Investigation is very specialized so job prospects may be limited. However, there are both government and non government considerations, so I reckon it depends on luck.
