Critical skills taught in my course such as writing weekly laboratory reports and frequently discussing the experimental data still provide many benefits to me within my current work duties.

rating

My course gave me the opportunity to carry out many laboratory works including several analytical techniques (such as chromatographic and spectroscopic) as well as principles in 'wet' chemistry. These have proved particularly useful and helpful to me when analysing experimental data and for investigating chemical compounds in drugs, foods, daily products and scientific research. To help postgraduate students to perform their own research, Werribee campus has HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography and AAS (spectroscopic) advanced equipment in the lab. The course also equipped us to perform laboratory work based on occupational health and safety procedures which are very essential in the workplace.
