I would advise all incoming students to study in a good university with a good course.
I took the GRE and the TOEFL examination. I did not take coaching classes. Counsellors are also not required. I applied for F1 Visa. The interview was good. I travelled by Lufthansa The airline was very comfortable. I got student fare as well as extra baggage. I landed on IAD airport in Washington DC. I had a "Meet and Greet" program at the airport.
I have a scholarship as well as a part-time job.
I am very happy with the way the program has been structured. The professors are good but there is a big scope for improvement. My lecture halls are excellent. I can say the same for my library.
I do not stay in the housing provided by the university. I have rented an apartment. The night life in the city is also quite decent. The weather here is unpredictable. I do have a part time job. There are international student societies which have a lot of special events.
My university has a placement cell. Job prospects are difficult for international students. The work permit process is also difficult. The alumni network is very active.
