I came to know more about university of Melbourne through the internet. Also from friends who were already studying in Melbourne. It’s a good uni and I would recommend everyone to come here to this uni.
There are many companies which send students overseas to study also, they look at your scores and get you enrolled in an appropriate uni.
I had my fees arranged from back home so I did not look out for scholarships here.
My first preference in Melbourne was studies, but it was so easy to get distracted with so many things happening around like the uni clubs, movies, restaurants, places, shops, festivals etc. I did my best to control myself and my classes were one of the best, we had a mixed culture in our class with students from different parts of the world. The teachers were very highly experienced and qualified.
The life here was very nice and easy. I could see that many students worked part time while studying but it was very difficult for me to manage such a thing because I wanted to give 100% to my studies and besides I didnt like to start work at that moment. I lived in the city and I enjoyed it, later I will be moving towards the eastern suburbs because now I am getting a bit too used to city life. I graduated last year and am working now.
I think the name of university of Melbourne is known by everyone, and employers are quite impressed if you have graduated from such uni, I will be returning to my country for a year and then come back and try to settle out here.
