UQ is a really cool uni. I haven't got a single complain since I got here. I enjoy my course, like the campus and I love the food in the campus and the cafes too. My advice for students is to be prepared to meet a lot of new people, to participate actively in tutorials and adjust to the weather (very hot in summer, and very rainy in winter).
I think UQ is not really hard to get in and if you run into any difficulties, you can always email/contact the admin staff. They are friendly and efficient. In my case, my application process was really easy.
I don't qualify for funding opportunities and I don't really know much about it.
My course in Communications is exciting, I think graduates will become really effective communicators. I spent nearly 18 hours each week in lectures, tutorials and my own revision time as well, undertaking 3 units. UQ provides all the study support for students. I think my course is value for money.
UQ has very sophisticated facilities. I love Brisbane. It is a very beautiful place. Accommodation is value for money because my landlord charge very reasonable prices. The only thing is during summer it is really really warm, took sometime to get used to it. I did join a few clubs but I was not really actively participating in it.
UQ is a recognized uni and I'm sure job prospects will increase. When I graduate, I will keep in touch with fellow alumni.
