I am comfortable to explore my interests at Northern, and so I have had incredible opportunities to learn about myself here. More than what I have learned through lecture, reading, study, and so forth, I have been inspired. I have had the inspiration to do new things, and to re-examine what I think I already know.
My professors have not only given me a broader understanding in various disciplines, but have inspired a curiosity in areas that I may not have otherwise been interested in. This inspiration has enabled me to go beyond what my classes can offer, and has given me the desire go forward on my own.
The social environment, the people and the connections that I have made as well as the activities and organizations that I have been a part of, have all helped me develop and express myself in new ways. The diversity of students on campus has also played an important part of making my experience at Northern a great one. Finally, being able to live in and go to school in another country through Northern has shaped my experience in ways that I could not have imagined.
