Its really quite enjoyable and my degree is going to be really interesting as are the other degrees offered by this university. The most important advice i would give would be to first come before the start of your first year and walk around and through the campus as it is quite large. Buildings are hidden amongst trees and other places.
It was very easy to gain admission for my course via help from the student centre of the university and the online tutorials and help sites offered by the university. The process was very easy and nothing was really that strict. The biggest help for future students would be to call the student centre or go into the university on tutorial days for enrollment, timetabling etc. to gain further help.
There are lots of equity scholarships available by the university and the government. As well as the accomodation, being smart (Sir Samuel Griffith), transport etc. The website of the university shows and explains all of these
My course is a double course and thus contains a lot of work. I usually study around 2-4 hours everyday, otherwise the course seems to slip away from you and later it gets harder to catch up. All lecturers and tutors are very friendly and enjoy helping students even in their time, i would not have done well in chemistry (something i never learned) if it werent for the efforts of my lecture giving up his time to help me. And yes very value for money, especially if its something you enjoy doing
The facilities are really great and include a wide range of recreational and dining experiences. The surrounding is very calming and quiet, almost undisturbed by humans. Everyone seems to be very happy and very friendly. The university goes to great lengths to offer and find work for every international student as well as accomodation and extra tutoring, so its very comforting to know that.
My job prospects have certainly increased becasue of my studies. It will hopefully secure me a very good position in an industry i love and have wanted to do for a very long time.
