ratingOverall experience

Bachelor of Science and education is very exciting course because you get to do a little bit of everything. The course is very well designed, as it exposes you to all the relevant information required to successfully go into the work force. The University of New South Wales is like a mini city hence a very fun place. You meet lots of new people and make lasting friendships. One advice I would give to future students is that make sure you have lots of prior knowledge on all the major science disciplines, because it is much easier to build on prior knowledge. Overall it is very exciting and rewarding experience hence 5/5

The selection process is not so complicated. As long as you meet the required UAI cut off for the year, you are accepted into the course.

There are scholarships available to the high achieving students as there is a shortage of science teachers. Scholarships are achievable with outstanding marks

The study load is reasonable its not too stressing but you do get the usual busy period. So far the lecturers and tutors are very kind, helpful, and passionate about the subject and of course knowledgeable. They are willing to provide extra help in the consolation hours; all you have to do is ask

Being a friendly campus it is really helpful for all students. The university caters for all the different types of students including international students. O-week is great time to join and be part of all the different groups. Over all the facilities available are very reliable e.g. bus stops help you get around the local area efficiently

ratingJob prospects

Job prospects are excellent for Bachelor of Science and education students. In the final year the department of education comes forward to provide lectures on how to apply for jobs as a teacher. The sooner you put in your application form the better, as it speed up the employment process. Bachelor of Science and education does not limit you to becoming a teacher as you can also work in other industries e.g. labs.
