Cornell University has high expectations from students. I would say that it is a place where your best hasn’t been good enough!!!

The visa interview experience was easy. Just a few questions. I had to write exams as part of the admission process and I prepared for these tests using Books and CDs. I did not attend any coaching classes. Though, I used the services of USEFI educational counselor. I got the tickets easily and used Heena Travels. I flew Air India, it was a pretty decent flight. The airline offered me a 20% discount on my student fare. I landed at Newark, NJ. The airport is 3 Hrs,200 miles from the institution. The allowed baggage rules were 32*3 bags and we were also allowed excess baggage. I did not face immigration issues at the port of entry. Was not offered any meet and greet by the university.

I am really happy with the way my program had been structured. We also have good professors. Our lecture halls are excellent, we have wireless facilities. We have a total of 10 libraries.

I am staying at off campus housing. We are offered full sports facilities at the Ramin Room sports center. It is easy for international students to get hold of part time jobs. Have to apply for them online. The social scene and night life is pretty dull here. The weather is really cold. There an Indian student society here. Every occasion celebrated here.

There is a placement cell at the university. I feel that it is pretty easy for international students to get jobs here. We have Career services functioning here. Many global organizations attend these placements, like, GE, Infosys, Apple. The work permit process is quite difficult. The alumni network is active and it helps with placements.
