- Diploma of Hospitality (Patisserie)
- Vocational Study (Certificates and Diplomas)
- 2010
I wish i had more information about this institute before hand. Because I have realised that the same course that i am doing(same certificate) is being offered by another institute at a more reasonable rate and flexible times.
I was told that my visa would take a longer time but it arrived more sooner than i had expected.
I am paying my own fees. We have scholarships but i havent got much info on that.
This is a nice course, we get to learn new things. We bake pastries, cakes and we are taught to master our baking and be the best. the staff is very friendly and i have only one problem and that is 5 days class. This is absolutely too much for a student. As it is i have pay my own rent, i need a job but with 5 days class, i dont have much time to work and no one wants to hire me because of my unavilability. I wish the adminstration would reduce the number of class days to 3. This course is still worth the money put in and esp. the wonderful help of the staff.
I havent joined any clubs, I only buy movie tickets sometimes which are given at a discount to holmesglen students. I love going to the movies and surfing the internet and in summer time the beach is a great place to be at. Rent is still expensive even though i pay less, but i am not working 20hours so it is still expensive.
This course will give me the necessary qualification to be a chef but also we have to keep in mind the number of hospitality graduates every semester. Its going to be tough no doubt.
