The facilities and the infrastructure both were excellent. The intern was a good learning experience and I learnt a lot in terms of work ethic and the latest technologies in use. Doing an internship greatly enhanced the chances of the people for further studies. If you want to study at this university you would need to prepare a good SOP.
Landed at the Chicago O'Hare airport. The airport was approximately a 3 hour drive from the university. Two bags were allowed as the check in baggage each having weight 23 kg. I also carried one hand baggage. There were no immigration issues at the port of entry. The university did not offer a meet and greet service however they did give all the directions and the ways in which the campus could be reached and prescribed the most convenient one.
The facilities and the infrastructure both were excellent. The department was very well located. The intern was a good learning experience and I learnt a lot in terms of work ethic and the latest technologies in use.
We had arranged accommodation in an apartment which was subleased. 3 of us stayed together in the apartment and it was a very comfortable stay. Because we went in the summers the campus was a bit empty however the weekend nights would see the clubs packed to the brim which made the night life interesting at least during the weekends. The weather was slightly cold initially but improved later on but it became quite hot during the end. There weren't any major issues that we faced. One thing which students should do is carry spices because food is typically bland. Also enjoy the weekends as much as possible and travel instead of lazing around.
