I think I enjoy my polytechnic now because the studying environment doesn't really stress the students out since we solve one problem every day. It's just some project may be difficult when comes to second year and third year. The most important advice to anyone thinking of studying at my polytechnic is to be smart and be active no matter what conditions you are in. It's because the daily grading system is based on how active you are in the class, how much you understand and how much you participate in the class
I think it was quite difficult because we had to go through entrance test. I am not quite sure about the selection process because I don't understand the way their selection process is. About the visa, I had my agent in my hometown to settle it for us. So I didn't need to worry for settling for VISA during that time.
I wasn't really a full scholarship, but it was the tuition grant. I found them from the respective school's website
My course is quite interesting because it's about leisure and sports. I don't really study much except if the test is coming. Each tutor is different, they have their own way of teaching or rather facilitating the class. Sometimes I receive the study support I need from some tutor (facilitator)
For me, I think my polytechnic is a very well designed polytechnic. It's because of the eco-friendliness of it and also it has a very special designed so that we won't feel bored when touring around the school. I most enjoy walking around when I have free time since Singapore is quite a safe place where you can walk around whenever you want. At the first time, the local people weren't that friendly, they were not willing to help us or rather laugh at our accent which was an insult to us.
Yes, I think that my job prospects have improved as a result of my studies but it's not because of the skills. But rather to the specific diploma that you are choosing, it's because I am choosing Diploma in Sport that is really developing now. So in a way, it will increase our job prospects and also opportunity. I am not sure whether I will be in touch with my fellow alumni because some of them tend to group with their own previous classmate that they are familiar with even though they are already assigned in new class each semester. the other reason is because I am an international student, so maybe I won't stay in Singapore in the future. If I have completed my studies, I still don't really know what I do now but perhaps I can try to look for a job related to sports or leisure
