Work and party Hard!!

I had to give GRE and TOEFL. I used books to prepare. I also attended coaching classes. I did not use counselors. I flew Delta. It was alright. I am not sure about student discounts. I landed at Atlanta. University is 1400 miles from the airport. baggage allowed was - check in 50 LBS X 2 + cabin baggage. Excess baggage was allowed only at extra cost. No immigration problems. There was no meet and greet service offered by the university.

I am happy with the program. The professors are good enough.

I am sharing an apartment. Lecture facilities are good enough. Library is also good. We have sports facilities. It is quit easy to get part time jobs. The city is buzzing with activity. Night life is also good. Weather is typical Texas weather. There is an Indian student group. They handle Indian festivals Like republic day, independence day, food festivals and annual gatherings.

There is a career services center. It is more or less easy for Indian students to get jobs. There is a campus placement process. The career services department assist in organizing career fairs coordinate with alumni in getting internships for students. and full time jobs. They also give advice for immigration etc. More than 30 global organizations usually visit the campus. Work permit process is not very easy. There is an alumni society . I am not sure how active it is. They sometime help with placements.
