Murdoch uni is a really good place to study my course International Business. The reason being there are a great mixture of domestic, exchange and international students from all over the world. An eye opener. This opportunity is what i don't get to experience back home. So I would say to students who wish to come to Murdoch uni, go for it! You'll definitely build up your own amazing experience here in Murdoch.
I did my college in Australia, I think it is not that hard to get in as long as the TER cut-off requirements are satisfied. I'm not sure about the how stringent was the selection process but I reckon as long as you fulfil the requirements mentioned whether you're coming from colleges or your home country, it should be relatively easy.
I don't think there is any scholorship/funding opportunities for my course. Tips on securing financial assistance is to have discipline not to overspend, plan your budget wisely. Sometimes, students (like my friends) get carried away while doing their shopping/casino especially for international students where the allowance are usually paid in advance.
My course is both exciting and fun. I really enjoy it so much as international business concerns international developments which is what I really like. You'll find this course will broaden your views. My course is value for money given the resouces I get from my course and uni.
Murdoch facilities include access to online databases (related to my course) such as Factiva/Proquest/FinAnalysis, access to online past year exam papers, online facilities for lectopia, library, 24/7 common learning area (24 hr access to computers), printing, guild shop, book shop, food courts, cafes, gym, banking facilities and many more. For accomodation, I live with a couple of friends, we rented a house nearby school and spilt the rental and bills equally. In a way, its much cheaper than living on campus especially when the prices had gone up. It really depends you which place you find, if its nearer to uni, rental prices are usually more expensive.
I reckon job prospects will increase because I gain a better understanding of international business relations and developments.
