The University of Newcastle is a very old and high-reputed institution. I chose to study in this University because I had received some recommendation from my relatives. My advice: study hard, and play hard.

ratingSelection process and gaining admission

The selection process was very easy for me. My application passed quickly. I dont think we had problems if you had enough scores in terms of English language and your academic results.

ratingFunding and scholarships

The funding process was amazing. Actually I received Ausaid scholarships, an Australian initiative to help developing countries. You just need to prepare the documents, be careful with the deadlines, and you will be successful.

The course was very value for money. The best bits are that I had the chance to communicate with people from many backgrounds. I spent 30 hours to study each week. The lecturers and tutors are very helpful to me. I received all the support that I needed.

ratingYour life experience

My life experience was good. Newcastle is a small town, and it was very hard to get around unless you have a car. The fellow students are nice and easy-going. It was not easy to find part time job. I did not join any clubs or societies.

ratingJob prospects

I am currently doing my PhD in another University. I just wanted to do some research and teaching in another environment. I will be keeping in touch with other friends in the course.
