It is a different type of education in the US. I would advise students to come here with an open mind and the willingness to succeed.

I gave the GRE and the TOEFL. Self study is the best study so I studied on my own and did not take any coaching. I did not use the services of any educational counselors. I am on F1 visa. The visa interview was easy and straight forward. The tickets were easy to get. I chose Lufthansa as it is on time and comfortable. The airline had student fare. I landed in PHL. The airport was a bus ride away.23kg+23kg. I did not get excess baggage. I had meet and greet at the airport.

I am very happy with my program structure. Professors are Good. Always room for improvement. The lecture halls and the library are very good.

I live in university accommodation. Its expensive but convenient. We have wonderful sports facility. Part time jobs are easy to get. You need them for SSN. Social scene is good and people are very sweet. Nightlife is cool! Weather is extreme winter and extreme summer. There is an international society. They conduct Parties, festival celebration, international student orientation and trips.

There is a placement cell. If the company sponsors H1B, international students have the same chances of getting the job as any US citizen. There are job fests twice a year attended by all university students and also nearby university student. Havent been through the work permit process. There is an alumni society. Sort of inactive. Not much help with placements.
