My advice to future students: Always have your accommodation arranged before you come here to study from overseas because I spent a month in a hotel looking for accommodation. Mix with the local people and it also helps if you can speak Chinese.
I applied from my home country. I was given a form to fill out which I did and I had to show some necessary documents in order to get my student pass.
I have heard that if I want to get scholarship then I need to be good in studies or you will have to work in Singapore for some years after you graduate. This is why I did not apply for scholarships.
Sometimes, just studies can be a bore. But if you keep balance of studies and fun then it will be very much enjoyable. I come to study every 4 days in a week.
The food area and canteen food is reasonable priced. Good structure and location of the campus. ATMS are also here in campus. We have student lounge for the students also. Clubs are there which we can join, my friends have joined but I haven’t. Yes, its easy to get a part time job but I am not very keen in working and studying at the same time.
To be honest I am not very keen to live here for the rest of my life because for that we need to get residency and for which we may have to go to national service. I would like to visit other countries too and at the same time increase my qualification and in the end return back to my country and work there. The qualifications are acceptable in many countries so I think it is helpful for me as I want to study further.
