Kangan Batman is located close to transport. I have made a huge number of friends and have bought a car. So I enjoy driving with my frens and going for overnight trips. I advise the international students to get the driving license from their home country as they can use it here to drive car and not apply for driving license here because it is tough to pass the driving test here.
I came here because of my brother who is also studying here in another campus. He gave positive feedbacks and so my family sent me here to study. Visa and everything took quite a time but it was easy to get in, just needed a reasonable english score.
I dont know about scholarships. I pay full fees and i think international students pay quite a lot.
We often attend the morning class and in the afternoon we go home even if we do have classes. We have night classes as well which ends at around 10 pm. The tutors are friendly and help us outside the class as well if we show interest. This course is a value for money.
Groups and clubs are there and we also have different clubs for international students. Luckily my accomodation is cheap because am staying with friends. Finding work was hard in the beginning but not now. Once we get experience in the kitchen from our tafe, we are confident and can work in any kitchen. It is important that we work in hospitality industry so that later on when we apply for citizenship, we have met the requirements of having worked certain number of hours. However, I am not working in the hospitality sector at present because of mediocre wages. I am working elsewhere.
The very reason i joined this course is because of the rep of the tafe and value of the certificates which will help us get employed later on. I will join the alumni too.
