I think a lot of people just go to college to go to classes and get out of here. I think you miss a lot if you don't get involved in stuff. It's a lot of fun and it develops you a lot more as a person. I know that being on the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Council for just one semester I feel like 'wow, I suddenly know the inner workings of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.' You don't learn that by just going to class.
My internship correlates directly to my major and potential future career path. It's a great experience. I enjoy being able to see all of the aspects of the research being done and learning hands on about plant breeding.
I really enjoy a lot of events that our residence hall floor does. It's a lot of fun. I also like the stuff that the Horticulture Club does.
I could have easily just stayed at my community college and gotten a two year degree. I wanted to get a four year degree. I feel like I'm a lot more employable now, I've had a lot of experiences that will be beneficial for careers in my field and just for my sake I love to learn.
