Studying Internationally has been a great learning experience. One has to adjust a lot after coming here but one piece of advice i would give to students planning to study in US is that keep your mind open to all the changes and be ready to adjust on any scale and most importantly don't lose hope.Initial phase is always difficult but we all make through it.

Looking at the Financial conditions globally acquiring scholarship or an assistantship is very difficult now a days, so be prepared for that but getting a part time job is not that difficult and you easily manage your personal expenses.

For graduate students i have a piece of advice, nobody will spoon feed you here. Profs are really helpful but you have to do it all by yourself.You can always ask for help. The courses and the Projects are so Brain storming that at the end you really get to learn a lot.

Yes mostly every university have an Indian student organization where they meet up on special Indian occasions and Festivals. Its really important to build your social network here because it helps you with so many things like getting a job, knowing different norms. You should not restrict yourself to Indians students otherwise you will lose the fun of studying internationally.
