Uni has always been fun, its a great place to make and meet new friends from all around the world. Its a great way to know about other culture and traditions. Apart from this, the regular parties and trips are much awaited. Its hard to choose a right place to study but once you've made holmesglen your choice, theres no looking back or no regrets. Its a good institute.
I heard about this tafe from my friend who referred me to this institute. I came through an agency who waived application fees. Time is the only factor of concern in this matter.
We have scholarships and we have to apply for it. And then we will be looked upon. I wish they gave scholarships more often and more easily. It would be nice.
I changed my course from accounting to tourism management as i wanted to work and interact with the public and not get stuck doing accounts for the rest of my life. Besides, i loved travelling. The best bits are going to the pub with friends for a beer after a hard day at uni. The tutors are all well qualified and experienced and friendly with the students.
During our orientation we were told about the facilities and groups. But ever since starting my course i have made a bunch of frens who hang out together and there is no need to join clubs as you already have plenty of frens to hand around with. Friday and Saturday nights at the city, its the best time of the week, esp. when ur not working on those days. Accomodation was really expensive when i was living alone but now, i stay with friends and sometimes i dont pay my rent, so its cheap. It is possible to find part time work, many of my friends are working, but some still are not working, it totally depends on ur luck.
Yes, i am working part time at tourism industry where there are lot of chances for promotion. So i hope to be promoted once i finish my course.
