It was a good experience studying at Macquarie University. got so many friends from different nationalities. Universtiy is good and worth studying and you will get a wholesome experience for the lifetime.
Processes were not too hard to get in. Only a reasonable score in IELTS will get you the visa easily. Also, adequate grades in previous study levels can get you in easily to Macquarie family.
I did not have one so no much idea. but few of my classmates had and they said it was very much useful in getting their expenses down to a great extent.
Excellent professors with very very good knowledge in the subject as well as general knowledge. As bio subjects I had classes at different timings duration like from an hour to three for practicals. Mostly reaesrch oriented and gotta work hard for a report. But that gives you better and deep idea about the subject.
There are so many club activities at Macqaurie. Very friendly people. I lived in the uni accommodation called Macquarie Village. It is little expensive but good atmosphere. I was working in a restaurant. It is not that difficult to get a part time job in Sydney.
Job prospects are good for busniess courses. For biotechnology it is kind of difficult to get jobs for the fresh graduates. But if lucky enough to get an internship students can go on with that.
