Study hard and excel here is the mantra.
I had to crack GRE to get admission in the university for which I prepared using the GRE material. I took classes for these tests and took the help of educational counsellors. I needed a VISA and the interview was good and easy. I flew by Lufthansa airlines in which I got tickets easily. Although the airlines did not offer a student fare, it allowed us to carry one extra baggage which was very useful. I landed at the George Bush airport which is about 20 miles away from the university. There was no Meet and Greet service.
I am happy with the program structure and the professors are good. The lecture halls are very nice and the library facilities are very useful.
I live in a rented apartment. It is difficult for students to get part-time jobs. The social scene and the night life in the city are good. There is an international student society which organises various country related events.
It is easy for international students to get jobs via the on-campus placement process in which many global organisation attend the process. The work permit is quite easy to get. There is a placement cell on-campus. There is also a very active alumni society which helps us with placements.
