I am Mukul from India I completed my Masters in Computer Science from the University of Buffalo. I had a great time there lots of Indian students.. did a lot of traveling enjoyed my time in the US.
My suggestion to students intending o apply to the US to use a lot of online networking groups to try and get in touch with those who are already studying overseas. For the VISA interview my tips are to remain calm, give your answers clearly, look directly into the eye of the VO and smile. I had applied to 14 universities and got admits to 6.
I did not get any aid initially but my Professor was very kind and offered me an RA after I reached the US. At that time the cost of the course expenditure estimated by the university was $19,500 x 2 years.
The program was good. Typical like any other MS program was a mixture of course work and thesis. I had the opportunity to intern with a consulting company.
When I graduated a couple of years ago there were available in plenty here now it may be a better option to get back to India.
