Columbia University has more than a hundred departments of research and more than a hundred research institutes and centers. It was the obvious choice for me as I'd already contacted a couple of my seniors and got a positive response about it.

It was a quite smooth going interview. No tricky questions or anything else.

I was self funded.

The program is expensive, about $60K. But it was really worth the money. CU has state of the art facilities and their curriculam is up to date. The CS prog was very well structured-I enjoyed it.

The industry is booming in the field of CS-plenty of openings for futher research also.
