I am Gunajraman.. I am an alumnus of the University of Kansas. I completed my masters in mobile networks. The course is offered at the department of electrical engineering and computer science at the University of Kansas. Good program which gives the students high quality professional support. Highly qualified faculty from reputed institutions.
One has to give GRE and TOEFL. Good undergraduate scores, a well written SOP and some relevant intern experience also counts. Recos from profs who have research in similar areas will always be useful. My visa interview was easy. I had no problems.
I got some help from my Prof after I got here but when I got the admit I had no funding. Since my brother works in the US I was able to show him as my guarantor.
The program was great. The university has some high quality profs who help you whenever required. There is a lot of research carried out in this field at kansas. I felt the course was definitely value for money. It gave me a global exposure.
Living in the US made me independent. It helped me think on my feet and made me more dynamic. I learnt to live with people from diverse backgrounds.
MobileNetwork based Companies are really BOOMING up in India very fast and jobs are not a problem.
