Please take care to understand which university is good for which specialization and carefully select your university and your subjects then.
My visa interview was really cool. I prepared on my own for the admission tests. I flew Delta Airlines booked for me by my agent Orbitz.com. Travel was fine, we were allowed 2 bags plus excess baggage. Landed at Newark, NJ which is abt 2 hrs from the university. I had friends pick me up from the airport.
No scholarships were offered.
My course is good. Faculty are also quite dedicated.
I live on campus in one bedroom apartments. They are ok. I like the library which has lots of reference material. We also have an excellent sports centre-SUNY sports center. Social life is pretty hectic though the weather can get really cold sometimes brrr...There is an Indian student society which handle all events and Indian festivals.
Not very easy for international students to get jobs, you have to obtain a work visa first. There is campus placement process in place at the uni and many global organizations do attend these placement events...the thing is, its not easy to get the work permit. There is a fairly active alumni society, but how far it helps with the placements I dont know.
Located in New York.
