I have enjoyed this university experience very good, the experience in the lectures, experiments, different halls are very good experience for me. For the newcomers who may consider National University of Singapore, my suggestion would be do not waste your opportunity and your time here. The university will provide many opportunities but these opportunities mainly depends on your Cumulative Academic Point.

ratingSelection process and gaining admission

The selection process is not easy for NUS students, especially for some foreign students, they are supposed to have excellent academic results and also involved in extra-curriculum activities.

ratingFunding and scholarships

There are many scholarship programms here in National University of Singapore, for all the foreign students, they can take Tuition Grant in the first semester in the school. The tuition grant covers 80% of the tuition fees for the foreign students but requires them to stay in Singapore for three years to work here. There is also USP ( University Scholarship Program) and there is also MOE scholarship for PRC students( covers full tuition fee and 500 dollars per month for ddaily use.

Mechanical Engineering is 'simple' in comparison with the other Engineering departments, but it is an interesting department in which you can acquire many opportunities. This department asks you to do a lot of experiments in your second and third year of study. Although it takes a lot of time to study, Mechanical Engineering department is still a nice choice as the degree in Mechanical Engineering helps you to secure a job easier than the other departments.

National University of Singapore is nice place to stay and study in. The fellows here are friendly and the university hold so many activities so you can make a lot of friends if you would like to. There is also some painful thing about the life in University, for many foreign and local students, they are supposed to do many activities to get enough co-curriculum activieties points to stay in school dormitories. So it takes a lot of time and energy to do it. Your relationship also counts in earning CCA points.

Mechanical Engineering of National University of Singapore is nice choice for you if you would like to find a job 'easily'. In this department you can learn a lot of practical skills 'useful' in your future. "solidworks, C programing, matlab, AutoCAD", these softwares are mainly taught in Mechanical Engineering departments. besides, the industry project in year 3 is also good learning experience for you to gain design knowledge. So these are all useful for your future career.
