ratingSelection process and gaining admission

I took the IELTS exam before applying for the course. I prepared for the admission process on my own, without the help of a coaching institute or a counselor. I needed a Student Visa for which the application process was simple and fast. I flew British Airways, which entitled me to a Student fare. I was allowed to carry some excess baggage. I landed at the London Heathrow airport, where there were no immigration issues. There was no 'Meet and Greet' service at the airport.

I did not receive any scholarship for my studies.

ratingYour study experience

I am satisfied with the way my program has been structured. Teaching was good, but there is certainly room for improvement. Our lecture halls were good and the Library is excellent.

I did live in housing provided by the university. The LSE Accommodation where I stayed was quite close to the University. Apart from that, it was very central and easily accessible. I did not have a part-time job. The nightlife in London is active, lively and most importantly safe! The city, overall, is very social and happening. The weather for most of the year, is rainy and can get quite gloomy. But it is very pleasant in the summer months! There is an International student society in our University which handles festivals, social gatherings and cultural shows.

ratingJob prospects

Our University did not have a placement cell as such, but it did have a career help centre. It is not easy for International students to get jobs. There are no campus recruitments. However, fairs do take place where global companies come visiting to give general information. I'm not too sure about the work permit process, but I've heard it is quite difficult. There is an Alumni society in your University, which is moderately active in terms of helping out with placements.
