My university life was busy with work and studies and overall I enjoyed it because I made a lot of frens had good times together. Now, for the future students, I would like to advise that when you come here to study, have fun and study too. Don’t over do any of the two if you want to enjoy life here.
I ended with this uni due to its good reputation. Now after have finshed studying here for a degree, now I have applied for residency. Meanwhile for about a year, I am on the lookout for casual jobs to get more work experience.
No scholarship facilities were provided in my case, sometimes I worked casually but looking back, working 20 hours per week, you cannot pay your uni fees, pay your rent, living expenses etc. Its always good to have your fees pre arranged.
Very recently I finished my Bachelor of Engineering here in Melbourne uni and that too Honors . But my education is not over yet. Probably towards mid next year, I want to do my Masters in Engineering from some other uni. Its not that this uni is bad. I want to try some other unis too. About my course, every time the students were divided into random and different groups. This helped us build teamwork and also experience of working in a diverse atmosphere. Apart from uni units, over the years, I got well acquainted and am more confident in using computers for assignments then I was before.
We had Internet, lectures, cafes, library, groups and societies, clubs. The locals were very friendly during my time as a undergrad student, we had to work together during assignments and other international students were friendly too. I was living with my friends and then I changed to some place else and then to another. I am not satisfied with the accommodation here, the prices are too high. Finding a job was a big problem for me. I mean, there are lot of jobs available but you also need the time. I was busy with my studies which required a lot of time. But now, I am free and am looking to work full time.
Yes, the job prospects have increased. Earlier I did not have a degree now I have one. I intend to do my Masters too and see how I stand. As far as I know, I stand at a good chance. I didn’t join the alumni because, I already am in contact with my friends.
