My university experience proceeds very well. I never enjoyed studying this much before. I reckon it is mainly due to the specialisation in the area that I'm in studying unlike high school which is too generic. Uni life is exciting too, there are always events coming up, exhibitions, career fairs, seminars etc.
I think it is easy to get in. The assistance I received was from my friend who is already a student at Monash University. She guided me in the whole process. It'll be easier if you know someone to talk to or even contact the staff.
There are scholarships which award the top students. You can find them online. Tips on securing financial assistance is to keep your money in a bank term deposit. It forces you to save and earn higher interest and you can also choose the period of the term.
Psychology is very very interesting but there is so much to read too. Some lecturers can be very strict so they have higher expectations from the students. No time for slacking. I don't mind because I enjoy my studies and study experience is really good.
The best life experience is making new friends and living by myself. I never really had a chance to live by myself and this is a very good opportunity. I rent a small apartment, live by myself and I always invite my friends over. It is very close to uni so I don't have to wake up so early for classes and thats important for me.
Job prospects will increase more with a postgraduate degree.
