I have always wanted to become a nurse, so I approached Bucks because it has such a good reputation. I know nurses who have studied there and have really enjoyed it.

The courses at Bucks are much better than some other universities. You do one semester of theory before commencing the first placement, meaning that you are better prepared the first placement, meaning that you are better prepared the first time you go out into the workplace. This structure also means that you have completed your assignments and exams before going on placement, which means you can give your full attention to the placement, making it more enjoyable. The degree structure at Bucks means that, for the first two years, you register on the diploma before transferring onto the degree programme. This means I get a guaranteed bursary for the first two years and then a means tested bursary in the third year.
