I had applied to uta, utsa and tamuk at my professor's suggestion, but selected Texas A&M 'coz the university offered me spl in control sys. Also, there were two proff at the uni who were doing research work in my area of interest, that is control sys. I was in touch with them and they encouraged me to apply here. Completing my program I realised that I'd really got a lot out of my program. I'll definitely recommend my dept and university to all future students. All the best.

The VO was a bit suspicious that I'd applied only to unis at Texas, she even asked me if I had any relations at Texas!! I had a time trying to convince her that it was for purely academic reasons and nothing else. There were no issues other than this and I got my visa.

I took up specialisation in control systems. The program was very well structured and the labs were equipped with the latest facilities.
