I did my BE in Information Technology IT in 2002 & then I joined a TATA enterprise. After working there for a little more than a year I started my application process. I applied to 7 universities and I got 3 acceptance and 2 rejections. A few of my friend were there in the states and I discussed with them before I applied to the University.

It is definitely not the biggest school but a lot of the professors have published extensively and have a lot of experience.

As mentioned before because of the proximity to silicon valley a number of Indian students apply to this university. You should not have a problem with social life, entertainment etc because the Indian groups usually have a lot of fun together.
