Wisconsin is a very well established university and the department of electrical engineering is over a 100 years old, it has a reputation to live upto! I was interested in completing my research in the field of Communications...the course modules offered were right up my line of interest. I had also spoken to a few professors who were engaged in research similar to mine, in the fields of digital signal processing and optic fiber communications. My advice to students would be to communicate with seniors and profs before selecting the university. Iam glad I selected Wisconsin.

I got my visa quite easily. Just read up about the university and the course. VOs tend to raise questions on that. I remember my VO asking me if a lot about the kind of research that I was interested in !
