UT Knoxville is among the top public universities in the States. I selected Tennessee based on my professors suggestions and some research I did on my own regarding academic profile and research facilities. The university is really good and I would recommend my university and department to other Indian students.

My visa interview was a breeze....I was mainly asked about the funding part, once the VO was satisfied that I could fund myself, he issued me the visa.

No scholarships...my parents paid for my education.

The school has a specific lab called wireless communication reasearch lab. I got a lot of opportunity to conduct research...we also had excellent faculty to guide and motivate us.

There is a placement cell in the university which does help with the placements.
