To enhance my career prospects in India I decided to get a Masters from an international institution. I chucked a good job to come to the US and get a degree. I'd applied to 5 universities and got admits from 3 of them. NJIT was the best among my admissions.
I had given my GRE and TOEFL. I had quite good scores plus some solid work experience. All this worked in my favour and I was issued the visa without any hassles.
I was not eligible for any scholarships. My parents funded my entire education.
