New jersey institute of technology offered very good modules in the field of Digital signal processing, which was my area of specilisation. Also, a professor in my undergraduate level who had been to US many times and also to the univ suggested New Jersey. I would advise students to look for the programs offered in a university rather than just see the ranking of the university.

ratingSelection process and gaining admission

It's better to read up a bit about the course and the university before the interview. I remember the VO kept on harping on DSP and research programs, till I got really nervous. Only when he was satisfied with my reply did I get the visa !! Keep your cool and don’t get flustered if the VOs give you a difficult time.

The MS program which was offered had a practical and flexible approach. The amount of research going on there is plentiful.

Graduates in this discipline have a very good future....many opportunities for jobs and future research.
