The university offered excellent course facilities. I am very happy with the structure of my program and would recommend University of Wales and the city of Swansea to anyone I know.
I did the IELTS exam, which I didnt really prepare for. I met Chopras who helped arrange my papers and couriered my application. I needed visa for which I received help from Chopras, I didnt have an interview. Getting tickets was easy, I flew KLM to Cardiff which is an hour away from Swansea. No student fare, infact I had to pay extra for luggage! There was no meet n greet. I did not face any immigration issues.
Our uni offered International Office scholarships which was useful.
I am very happy with the structure of my program and my profs. Lecture halls were excellent and so was the library.
I lived in a post grad self catered acco which was very quiet and comfortable. Finding part time jobs was easy but I wasnt really interested. Social scene was good, very tolerant and multicultural city. Uni had many societies including an Indian society which cultural/religious events were held.
There is a placement cell in the university, but not much for post grads. It is not easy to get a job but not impossible either. University has a careers centre which is of great help. Work permits can be tricky but new laws are very helpful. University has an alumni society but I havent got around being a member yet.
